*Very Happy Half Birthday*

Its hard to believe that Half a year has passed since my baby boy was born! Yep that's right as of today Corbin is 6 months old. I cant believe it...I don't know where the time has gone. It seems like we just brought the little man home.

My how our lives have changed in the past six months alone.

He is without a doubt the best of us. He makes me a better person each and every day. I cant wait to wake to those big blue eyes every morning, and just watch him look at the world with such amazement.

Little man is growing like a weed, and his little personality comes through more and more each day. He smiles and laughs out loud...not to mention that he is rolling all over my house! Corbie is just itching to talk to us, I can see it all over his face he just hasn't quite mastered that just yet. Boy help us when he does. He is all boy, sometimes a Mama's boy which is just fine with me! But you should see his face light up when his Daddy walks in the door from work. Mama is forgotten then. :)

We love the little guy more and more each and every day. Its hard to put into words...I guess all that I can say is Happy Half Birthday!

Here are a few snap shots of the "un"birthday boy from the last six months.

* Little Giggles*

The thought of this just makes me smile. Sunday we were home just spending time together resting for this on coming work week, enjoying the weekend. Well I was washing clothes but same difference. As some of you know we lost a very special lady almost a month ago, Nanny(on Pooh's side), well what you may not know is that she kept children in her home until she was too sick to do so. There were always kids there, as far back as Pooh can remember. So she always had lots of toys and things for the kids. When we were there for the services they told us to take what we wanted home for our kids to have(her great grandchildren). I think that my SIL Kari has an old rocking chair, my other SIL Kim has a car, well we ended up with a little green tractor that the kids ride on.

The signifcantce of all of this is, Corbin is still too small to hold himself on the tractor and push.(It's actually the perfect size for my niece Ave and she drives it around the inside of my house when she is over.) But I put him on it Sunday and pushed him into the living room to see his Daddy. Well it has a horn, so we pushed the horn. As soon as Corbie heard it he giggled! So again and again we pushed this horn until the point where he was cackling(like his Dad & Uncles) and Pooh & myself were rolling on the floor! He did not feel very well yesterday so this was something that made him laugh and hopefully feel alittle better. The strange thing about my child is that he is very hard to make laugh or giggle unless you are tickling him, so this was a wonder to us both. Our first you might say.

As I listened at the joy this simple thing brought my son and our family my heart was bursting with love and pride. Also as I listen I couldn't help but thinking of Nan and how much she would have loved to have seen that. I can see her smiling, this is what life is all about. At the same time a small part of my heart aches for the simple thought that she never will. Life is amazing...how one simple little giggle from a child can do so much. I didn't have my camera out, tried to get one tonight of him on the tractor but he is still alittle under the weather....another day.

*Falling Behind*

Its been a weird but busy week for us this week. Doesn't seem like there has been a lot going on but at the same time I have had no free time to take the time and post. So hopefully I can get back to blogging tonight.:) I have some post written just don't have the photos uploaded off of my camera yet to complete them.

As I have said before more Easter to come.=)

Here's to hoping that I can work on them tonight and tomorrow. Just don't get too excited when you see more than one post in a day, it will not be happening too often.

*Time Flys*

As I sit here typing this it is hard to believe that 25 years have passed since I was born. I am now 26 years old...which puts me on the backside of THIRTY!! =) This birthday was like any other..I get a "birthday week", while this isn't the normal for most I decided a few years ago that one day just wasn't enough...I need a whole week to celebrate! The big day was last Tuesday the 14th; and as my mother says it isn't official until 7:02pm, but that didn't stop me from telling Pooh that he had to be nice because it was my birthday week. My dear hubby was the first to tell me Happy Birthday that morning, and of course then came my Mom. There was lots of love from friends and family via phone calls, myspace & facebook also.

This birthday was a little different for me though...it was kind of sad but amazing at the same time if that makes sense? I'll start with the sad stuff....My grandparents forgot me this year, while I expect this from my Mothers parents because, lets face it my Nanny has never remember why would the woman start now, I didn't expect it from my Dad's. I know that they have alot going on and my Gran's memory is not quite the same anymore it still made me heart ache....Not just for my own selfish reasons but it made me realize that they aren't as young as they used to be and there may not be many more chances for them to remember. Also, I had a conversation with a friend that I haven't spoken to in a short while, and well lets just say that things aren't same anymore. She is going through alot and because life happened we haven't been able to keep up with each other. I tried to be the friend that I thought that she wanted, but I guess I wasn't enough. It was a phone call that ended up in alot of tears and questions that were still left unanswered. :(

Now on to why it was one of the most amazing birthday weeks! For one thing it was birthday dinner at Mom's house. She makes it special for each of us. We pick the menu and whatever cake we want. She has done this for as long as I can remember, but it still makes it a great day. She has also thrown Pooh into the mix since we have been married. It was funny she was actually talking the other day about what she thinks Corbin might want for his first...poor little guy doesn't know what is coming! He doesn't even have any teeth yet. But I am not ready to think about him being 1 just yet.

For another, I had my little guy Corbin to celebrate with this year. Also, things are going great for my little family right now. We don't have much; but what we do have we make the most of and our home is full of love. I never doubt it when I walk through our front door. As you may know my hubby is not one of the most mushy, lovey dovey, kind of guys(well not in public) but he is a sweet heart to me. He surprised me this year, we decided not to do gifts because of how the economy is going, but he didn't let that stop him from getting me something. He shows up at home with 2 cards...this isn't unusual in our house for every birthday or holiday as long as we have been together we do get each other 2 cards; one lovey dovey & the other funny; don't know why its just what we have always done. So I open the first card, its mushy and sweet, I shed a tear...As I open the second card I am expecting the funny one, not this card says Happy Birthday Mommy. My sweet husband went out and bought a birthday card from our son to me. I cried, it was so sweet and unexpected, he even signed it "I love you Momma, Love Corbin" in shaky, bad hand writing to make it look like Corbie had wrote in it. I know that alot of fathers probably do this for their wives and mothers of their children, but it was my first one and it means the world to me.

That is the recap of the big #26 for me...it was alittle sad, but very wonderful as well. I have memories that will last a life time. A husband that melts my heart with some of the things that he does, a baby that has my heart, and a very special card that will go into my cedar chest with all the other memories!

*Corbin's First Easter*

It's hard to believe that this time last year I was miserable pregnant, sick, and probably didn't feel like getting out of bed! It amazes me that things can change so quickly in a year, now he is here and had his first Easter. It started last week with a trip to see the bunny. He had on one outfit, spit up all over it and if you know me you know I was prepared with about six others for back up! So we changed him and into the Bunny's lap he went. I was worried that he might be scared like his cousin Avery, but he was fine. He just smiled at the bunny and we have a really cute picture. Then came Easter Sunday...the bunny came to the house and dropped off some goodies for him. Then off in the car over to Nana's for lunch we went. The bunny stopped there too for Corbin! After some time there we headed over to Grandma's so that the little guy could hunt eggs with all of his cousins. My lucky little guy had the bunny stop by his Grandma's too! :) His Aunt Kari got some cute shots of him in his bucket during the egg hunt you can tell how excited he was about the whole thing! So after a trip into the hot tub to chill out it was nap time for my tired little guy. All in all it was a great day for us...cant wait until next year when he can run around the yard with the rest of them. A few more pics to follow once I have the time to post.

This is Corbie in the hot tub!

*Smiles*

It has been a long couple of weeks around here lately, from having to rush off down the state for a funeral of one of our loved ones, to getting home & having to go to another. Then family has been in town for a visit and little JJ ends up in the hospital...Needless to say things have been crazy busy. Hopefully they calm down soon after the Easter weekend. So in retrospect, I came across these snapshots as I was uploading from my camera. They helped me realize no matter the circumstances children are truely a blessing and can always put a smile on your face.

This is one of my niece Delaney and Corbie in Miami...and one of him in his exersaucer:)

My First Post

Hmmmmm...Lets see where do I begin. This blog is most likely to be full of ramblings, and honestly random things that cross my mind. But if you come back there could be some really great things that happen here. I know for a fact that it will be filled with stories of our day to day life and lots of pictures of us, well mostly Corbie, he's the cute one! We'll see how this goes I may actually love it, it is my dream to write a novel one day. So all I can say is enjoy this small glimpse into our crazy lives!
