*What to do*(sorry this is a long one)

You know all that I have ever wanted to do since I was a little girl was finish college, get married, and have children. I even had a little plan figure out for myself. Graduate High School, go to college, be married by 23, and have a baby by 25. Now part of this whole plan was for me to wear a business suit everyday and not be a stay at home Mom.

Needless to say things have not turned out quite like I planned. I have not finished school yet, which I do want to do...10 more classes shouldn't be that hard right? But some things have...I was married by 23,  and a Mommy by 25. But my priorities have changed, I don't want to work everyday, I would love to be able to be home with my child(ren) all the time. Its just not possible right now I have to work-even part time helps. Lets face it I do not have a money tree in the back yard! ;)

My only problem right now, and what I am struggling with is how can I accomplish all that I want out of life? We can't afford for me to stay home full time right now, so that also means that we can not afford me to go back to school either. Because, well to be honest the 2 or 3 days that I am class I need to be working somewhere to help bring money into our home. And the other 2 or 3 days I want to be with our son plus taking care of our home. It is truly a blessing that my husband feels the same way that I do.

What brought me to blog about all of this is a conversation that Pooh and I had earlier today. He told me that while he wants me to be home with Corbin, everyday if I could..its just not feasible for us right now. But in the same breath he told me that whatever I do he wants me to be happy doing it. Honestly I am not happy right now where I work he knows that. I'm stressed, and hate getting up to go..part of this I know is because I don't want to leave Corbin. Another huge factor is that the business is under contract to sell, now while there is a contract out we have to wait on GM to approve the buyer, which could take months! The business is losing money, my Papa can't afford to keep the doors open, and I know he is struggling with what to do. So really in a few months or even weeks depending on how things go I may not have a job.

Happiness...that's a word that gets tossed around alot..are you happy..be happy... I looked up the meaning..."Happiness is the state of mind or feeling such as contentment, satisfaction, pleasure or joy". I need to find the joy in my work. Pooh asked me what I would like to do, what kind of job would make me happy and put food on the table so to speak. I thought about it...only for a minute...If I have to work, I would love to do it from home...maybe an event coordinator? wedding planner?(hey I know a great photog! :)) Eventually I would love to have my own business. That's what would make me happy. Pooh told me to make it happen, but really I don't even know where to begin to make it happen.

Okay I have taken up enough of your time...Just need to get it out, thanks for listening...still don't know what I am going to do with myself. I guess keep working where I am until I figure it all out. Here's to hopes and dreams right. If only my fairy Godmother would show up.....

*SURPRISE!!*

Party for these two! My little brother and his girlfriend, now officially my future Sister in Law recently got engaged a couple of weeks ago. I couldn't be more excited! After Christmas Ben asked me to help him pick out a ring for Kayla so off we went! He found an absolutely beautiful one for her! It looks like her if that makes any sense what-so-ever. So off to Orlando they went for their annual trip to the hair show(shes a stylist). Little did she know that my brother(along with a little help from his big Sissy, Mom, and Mimi) had been planning their proposal for months. It turned out amazing!

Now back to this post...I had to give you  alittle background. Last night her family threw them a surprise engagement party along with a surprise 21st birthday bash for Kayla. That's how they got Benny over there with her...he knew about the birthday but not the engagement so when they walked in and he saw us he knew something was up. It turned out really nice, the food was good, and there was so yummy cake! It was a hawian theme so Papa had to help Corbie get into the spirit of things. :)

Just a quick family shot...Pooh is about to blink, but you have to use what you have right..plus it was close to little mans bedtime and he wasn't too happy about it!

A self portrait of my brother and I....
**Benny- So proud of you, and happy for the both of you. Kayla Mae is a welcome addition to our family. I know I don't say it enough but I(we) love you!**

*Year of Leather?? *

By the title of this post you are probably going what?? No today the 17th Day of June 2009 is our 3rd wedding anniversary, and leather is supposedley the gift for the 3rd year. I guess I could start this by explaining the picture at the beginning. This picture was taken last year on our anniversary while we were out celebrating. What you cant tell from the picture is that I am 6 months pregnant and miserable!

This has been a wonderful and exciting year for us. Many changes in the Vennard household; for one thing the "house" in household changed. The weekend of Oct. 25 we bought and moved into our new house, a week before our baby was born on October 31, 2008. That has been one of the biggest and best changes in our 3rd year.

Some other exciting things....Jackson was born in September, Avery Kate turned 1, Kels turned 16, Laney Bug turned 4, and the most recent news my brother got engaged this past weekend.

I cant believe that it has been 3 years since the day that we said I do...I can honestly say that I love my husband more now then I did the day we got married and less than what I will tomorrow. He is amazing and my reason for believing in true love. There are so many things that he does that makes me fall in love with him over and over again everyday, he is the best part of me. There are days that I could just strangle him, but at the same time I dont know if I could live without him, days that I just sit and cry with him, and days that we laugh until we cry. Hes my world, the best thing that I ever did for myself was the day that I walked down that ailse and became Mrs. Vennard. He is the best father and husband that I could have ever asked for, he made me a wife and a mother, two of the best things about me...

Marriage isnt easy but I think that that is part of the fun...you have to work at it everyday, but everyday that I wake up next to him is one of the happiest days of my life...We are blessed.

**Babe~Happy Anniversary! I love you. I cant wait for the next 50 years, and I just want you to know that  I fall in love with you all over again every day....Always...Promise.**

*We are on the Move*

Now do you see this sweet baby here...Well needless to say this little guy is on the move! Whether he is rolling, army crawling, or worming his way across the room there is no stopping him now! It is so funny and sweet at the same time. He is sooo proud of himself, but still gets a little frustrated if he doesn't get where he wants to go fast enough. Its kinda sad though, little man is getting so big so fast!

This is what I walked in the door to tonight after work. Pooh had set up a barrier/barricade to keep Corbie contained.  This is what really sunk it in for me...he is on his way! He is so quick. I have noticed over the past week or so that he has really been trying hard, but I guess today while I was at work he got the hang of it!

Part of the reason behind the blockade is that we have wood floors throughout the living room, while I love them since he doesn't quite have it down pat yet we worry about him hitting his head. Just wanted to share this little milestone that my little guy is mastering!

*Its Monday...*

I really dont have too much to say other than that....I just feel like if I do not post at least once or twice a week I will lose the will to blog. So this is my way of making myself write something to keep myself on track.

Our weekend....This was the first weekend in a month of weekends that we just sat at home and enjoyed our little family. No where to go nothing to do...just us at home. It was a nice change of pace, plus with the week to week and a half that we are about to have it was a much needed rest. Oh my hubby did manage to get our closet fixed though; and I got all of our clothes hung up! That has been a long time coming.

As I look on to friday there is just a pit in my stomach; But as I look to next week with anticipation for our 3 year anniversary there are butterflies! Funny how things do that...So hope everyone has a great week and I will catch up with ya'll later.

*Stalkers/Followers out there*

Okay if you haven't or have noticed I have a live feed on the side of my blog. It just lets me know who is dropping by for a peek or a quick check up on us. ;) The only problem is it just tells me the city and the state not the person.

So I think that its great that you guys are stopping by but let me know who you are. Drop me a comment just to say hello, or to introduce yourselves. I have some of you guys figured out already...My Miami followers are either Aunt 2C or Punkin(or maybe both..love ya!) Now I am not sure about my Saint Marys, GA or my buddies from SC & NC.

So like I said leave me a comment and introduce yourselves, leave me feedback and how you came across our blog...would love to know!

Nice to meet you!! :)

*5 Long Years...*

Our Family

Just the 2 of us...

5 years of having my husband gone 2 nights a week from September to May has finally came to an end. Whats a girl to do? Now I will have to cook at least 3-4 nights a week! You can only do pizza one night or they start complaining. :) Seriously it will be nice to see him every night before 9pm. School nights were always a rush. As soon as he made it home it was jump in the shower and off to bed.

Pooh graduated from his apprenticeship training on Friday night. It has been 5 years in the making. I was so proud of him he has worked hard for himself as well as our family. He turns out in September 09, where they officially make him a journeyman. But on Friday they held the graduation ceremony. It is really kinda boring, but the food is yummy! There are just so many guys from all the apprenticeship schools around town that are graduating it takes forever.
We were brave and took Corbin, Pooh really wanted him to be there. I was just worried about the length of it all how he would do with not being able to get down. Plus I knew it would go past his bed time and he would be wore out! Poor little guy didn't get a nap Friday afternoon either so I assumed that he would be a little cranky.

He actually did really well; there was enough family there to help that it was under control. I was hoping that he would go to sleep but that didn't happen until we were on the way home. I want to give a special "shout out" to Aunt Kari for taking him to the back so that I didn't miss Pooh's walk across the stage. :)

Here are some pics of everyone that was there that night. Mama & Corbin
