*Blahhhhog*

Ok so I have completely fell off the blog wagon..along with off the diet wagon and down a hill full of icecream. But I going to try to get back on track. Ive been watching my food intake better and have done the Wii Fit Plus 2 days in a row...so its a good start. The wedding is fast approaching and Im scared of myself in that dress!

So my next move is to get better with the blog...and the housework...But the hubs is back to work in town for now so that makes my heart happy. What does not make my heart happy is the fact that I have to go out and buy new tires for the truck today...there goes my new iphone $$, I guess that can wait a few weeks...BOOOOO. Of well priorties right.

*Flip Flops*

Tonight was finally my brother and future sister in law Kayla's wedding shower...Since I had already gotten them something and that crazy girl is wearing 4 inch heels during the ceremony and beyond I had a friend of mine make these cute flops for her to wear during the reception!

Soooo cute, she added a little bling for me, and embroider the "O" on the buttons!

The wedding colors are fuchsia and orange. After I saw these I'm going to have her make me a pair for the reception too! Ya'll know I cant be chasing around a 20 month old in heels all night! If your interested in some of these for yourself in any color let me know and I will get you the information for Doodlebug Creations!

*Yep.....*

So its been like a month since I posted something...Yep I know I need to post things.....Yep I am considering this a post right now!

Okay just to fill you guys in on some things that have been going on around here...The man in my life has been working out of town for about 6 weeks now(and no I'm not talking about baby V), so I have been Mommying it all alone...there are days that its easy...and there are quite a few that its not...but we make do and live for Thursday afternoons when hes home until early Monday morning.....

I had lost "miss placed" my camera cord so there have been pictures taken but no way to upload them...And by miss placed I mean literally 2 hours ago Corbin pulled it out of the speaker for the surround sound..Seriously why didn't I think to look there.

I had my birthday and turned 26 AGAIN..the only sad part was the hubby wasn't here to celebrate with me...but I had a good day with the little guy and got flowers delivered as a surprise from the hubster. Plus breakfast from my SIL. :)

I am still doing weight watchers...but lost tract for a couple weeks because I had my wisdom teeth taken out...5 of them...it was horrible they were impacted ugh...not a good 3 weeks for me..but on the bright side I couldn't eat so Ive lost about 6.5lbs.

I finally went and ordered my dress for my brothers fast approaching wedding....The bathroom is making progress...its slow but kinda hard to work on only on the weekends...one day it will be finished...that's what I keep telling myself..:) And right now baby boy is sick so that is the extent of our Weeks plans...

He needs me..I'll post pics soon....

*Wedding Weekend*

This weekend my "other" brother from another mother got married. This on top of the fact that we had family in town, along with it being Easter made it a very busy weekend! Needless to say little man would not sit still during the ceremony, but his sweet Daddy walked around with him so I could watch the ceremony...I'll admit it I cried! I'm going to be a mess when my brother gets married!

Congrats Jill & Casey!

*WW*

Okay so I haven't been posting very well about weight watchers, but I will give you a quick update...I have lost 3.5lbs so far according to them...my scale tells a different tale, it says I've lost more...so I'm having a hard time trying to decide which to go with. Yea right! I'm going with my scales number which is like 5-5.5lbs. (although my scale I weigh in the morning naked...not sure if they would let me do that at the meeting!)
I really like it so far....hasn't been hard. I just wish I'd see more every week then the ounces I have been, every little bit counts though. I feel like I look smaller so maybe its more inches for me. Only 3 more months to go until the wedding...need to get my tan on!

"Oh, no, we're not asking you to lose weight. That would be illegal. We just want you to be healthy, by eating less. So go home, weigh yourself on a scale, write than down. Then subtract 20 from that number. And weigh that. Yeah." Jill to Allison from the movie Knocked up..

*Danny the Dragon book review*

Author: Tina Turbin
Illustrations: Aija Jasuna

I was recently given the opportunity(honor) to review a children's book titled "Danny the Dragon Meets Jimmy" by Tina Turbin. I was so excited to receive this in the mail and to read it with my son. The book is about a small boy "Jimmy" and a day at the beach with his family, his mother, father, and his sister. Like most children do he was walking along the beach picking up shells and putting them in a bucket to take home. Until he discovers a very unusual shell....its magic! It speaks to him...and once he gets home he makes two very new, very special friends; Danny and his navigator Skipper. The story is one of those that teaches you a lesson without you even realizing it, teaches you to be polite and open to new and interesting people....even if they may be different from you. It reminds me of what fairy tales are supposed to be about...a wonderful story that still sneaks that moral in on you! The illustrations in the book were just beautiful, very vibrant and colorful. One of the only drawbacks for me was the fact that the book was more for children that are older than my 16 month old...more for pre-K aged kids; but my sweet boy loved the pictures! Just so you know its a cliff hanger...leaves room for new adventures of Danny and Skipper. I enjoyed the opportunity to read and review the book!

*Week One*

Okay soooo..I really need to catch up on my posts, but while I had a free minute I thought that I would blog about my new adventure. I have joined weight watchers(WW) my awesome friend Jen is my partner in crime and my meeting buddy for this. I really think its going to help to have someone right there with me every step of the way. I have came to the conclusion that I am way overweight and want to lose some, for a couple of reasons. (1) I need to do it for me (2) We are planning a girls day coming up in June, (3) my Brother is getting married in July and I am a bridesmaid..with 6 other 20 somethings who have NO children...yeah I know in hot pink..(4) its going to be summertime soon and I am too young to be in a one piece AND last but not least with talks of baby V number 2 in the works(Just talk mind you) I want to be in great shape that way if this one doesn't make me sick like its brother I don't want to be WAY huge afterwards. :)

So since this is my blog... I am going to try and post my updates once a week...hopefully they will involve weight lose, they may involve me struggling and b$t%hing but either way I want to share my journey to hopefully a lighter healthier me.

*Its all about the LOVE*

"If you live to be 100, I hope that I live to be 100 minus 1 day, so that I never have to live without you." Winnie the Pooh

I thought that I would start LOVE week off with a quote from someone close to me heart Winnie the "Pooh". This is my favorite quote I want it on my wall. We had a great day here at the V home spending it with my loves. This picture sums it up for me the 2 halves of my heart...my hubby and then my Valentines gift from 2008...that's when the little guy was conceived. Love my boys!

Happy Valentines Day!

*Ughh Monday*

A horrible night turned into a bad day....Little man was up every hour it seemed like last night. :( Runny nose + cough + fever= A very tired little boy & a very tired Mommy. So other than cuddling today we have been spending it watching his favorite movie on Blue Ray. I actually bought this for his for Valentines Day but since he doesnt "really" know what that is yet he got it early. It amazes me that our little guy will actually sit still through at least 45 minutes of this...Love him. And that he makes vrooom vrooom sounds every time he sees Lightning as he points at the screen...

*Sunday Selection*

"Making a decision to have a child--it's momentous. It is to decide forever to have your heart go walking around outside your body" Elizabeth Stone

So I have decided that I am going to start the week off with something that makes me feel good for the week. Now I may not do this every week but I would like to try...and then again I may not be in a very good when I am looking for quotes/lyrics whatever soooo that could mean its not something nice, sweet, and inspirational but its my blog and I can do what I want! ;)

*Date Night @ Dane Cook*

The hubby heard he was coming to town sooo we got tickets make arrangements for the little guy and off we went. :) We had a really great time...Dinner with Jules before and then the rest of the night was spent laughing.

We did miss Corbin though...This was only the 3 rd night hes ever stayed away from us...One other was an emergency I had to go to the ER and the other was because I had surgery the following day to remove my gallbladder. We almost went and got him...but my Mom said he was already asleep and he was fine.....So a night with the house all to ourselves...what kinky crazy things do you think we did?? Hmmmm...well the same things other married people with a 15 month old do...We went to sleep! LOL and slept in until 10:30am!

*Kitchen Floor Renovation* (During & After:)

Okay...These are some of the tile going down and finally the finsihed product! :) I am in love...and too bad for Pooh because now I know that he can tile...so the laundry and spare bathroom are next! He told me I have to wait about 6 months though.

This is the start of the tile going down..love the diamond pattern!

Sorry I cant fix these for some reason! But this is another of them while they work.

Before the grout...still looks great though!

Little Man was just excited to be able to go back in the kitchen!

Fianlly its finished! Grout! :) My hubby had a friend of his that came and helped out since we had no clue what to do! So thanks Jerry! Funny story about the on going project. We had to wait on the grout to dry overnight so the appliances couldnt be moved back in...well my hubby got sent out of town the morning after we grouted. :( Yea I know how was I supposed to get my kitchen back! Well my BIL came through for me and came by and put everything back in its place! Love my new floor...cant wait to work another room to show you the befores and afters!
